A happy new year from all of us at Gateway FurMeet! We hope that you’ve all been enjoying 2014 so far and we have some great updates for you.
Hotel reservation is now open, and online reservation is available! Before you reserve your room we ask that you read and understand our Hotel and Transit page, but if you have already been there then you’re welcome to reserve your room online at the hotel’s website. Please remember that you’ve only got just under three more months to reserve your room in our room block, so to ensure that you get our group discount rate please make your reservation as soon as possible. In addition, make sure to register for the convention if you haven’t done so already – it helps us out and it saves you money.
We are also happy to announce that we are accepting applications for our variety show! If you’re interested in performing, check out our Variety Show page for the full details on how to sign up.
In addition, there has been one change with the new hotel that will affect our artists and dealers. Tables in our Artists’ Alley and Dealer’s Den are now six feet rather than eight feet. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but the Hampton Inn does not have eight foot tables.
Registration for Gateway Fur Meet 2014 is officially open! You’re welcome to start registering immediately but before you do, please take note:
* The hotel room block is not yet available. Please do not try to reserve a hotel room until it is, you’ll help us and you’ll save money. We’ll announce the details when it becomes available.
* All payments are processed through PayPal but a PayPal account is not required.
* If you will be a minor as of the start date of the convention, the parental consent form is required, and there are no exceptions. The form is available at http://gatewayfurmeet.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/GatewayFurMeetParentalConsentForm.pdf and more information is available on the registration page.

If you’ve got an idea for a panel and you’re willing to run it, let us know by signing up to run a panel at http://gatewayfurmeet.org/volunteering/programming-2/ . Panels are what will make this con what it is so whatever your idea is, we want to hear it!
Finally, if you’re a vendor and have things you’d like to sell, Dealers’ Den signups are now open at http://gatewayfurmeet.org/dealers-den/ . We have a limited number of seats so sign up soon to ensure that you get a table!

Help us promote our convention coming up in April 2014 by spreading the word, re-blogging, tweeting, and checking out our pages. Word of mouth is the best tool for anything to spread to the masses of potential attendees, panelists, dealers, artists, volunteers, and anyone one who wants to have fun!!!
Thank you, GFM team.
Scooby an Embersilk love to pose for the camera. Gotta love the furries!!!!
